Product Development Backcountry Access Embedded Software Engineer, Boulder, Colorado

Backcountry Access, a division of K2 Sports, is a thriving company which produces Avalanche Beacons and other unique snow safety and outdoors products located in Boulder, Colorado at the foot of the Rocky Mountains.

The primary responsibility of this software engineering position is to produce embedded real-time control/analysis software used in handheld wireless transceivers.  Tasks will include ground-up software system design, signal detection algorithm design, RFI minimization through software, and efficient user interface design.

Art Department Graphic Designer, Seattle Washington

The K2 Sports Graphic Designer is a member of a design team responsible for developing graphic artwork for a variety of winter and summer products under K2 Sports.  In addition, team member prepares a variety of graphic design and layout work in preparation of various catalogs, on-line material, posters, pop, advertisements, packaging, collateral, books, newsletters, and flyers.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Creates and designs product graphics for various K2 Sports groups.
  • Creates and designs graphics for layout of marketing collateral, merchandising, and packaging.
  • Operates various graphic design programs.
  • Confers with marketing and sales teams regarding project specifications and creative direction.
  • Writes bid specifications for jobs assigned to outside vendors; coordinates production of material with outside vendors by monitoring jobs in progress, resolving technical problems, proofing materials and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Manages studio and action photography of athletes and product.
  • Creates, designs, and/or manages the production of technical drawings and illustrations.
  • Designs, constructs, and or manages the production of visual displays, POP and exhibits; may determine materials and equipment best suited for the job.
  • Maintains department files of completed assignments; maintains accurate logs of work in progress such as time devoted to projects and materials used.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in graphic design or related field and 2 years experience in graphic design, or
  • four years experience in graphic design, layout and illustration.
  • Must be expert in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.


K2 Outdoor K2 Outdoor Marketing Intern, Seattle, WA

The K2 Outdoor marketing intern will assist with the marketing teams for Atlas and Tubbs Snowshoes, Madshus skis, and K2 Skates with marketing events support, online community projects, social media content, coordinating public relations requests, and research for brand marketing initiatives. The K2 Outdoor marketing intern will report to the Marketing Managers, and will work closely with other marketing, sales, and development staff to learn and provide overall support in marketing-related activities for the K2 Outdoor brands. This is an unpaid, for-credit internship.

Requirements:

  • The K2 Outdoor Marketing Intern position is an unpaid internship and must be for course credit.

  • The K2 Outdoor Marketing Intern will be expected to work a total of 240 hours over 12 weeks, schedule flexible to fit your coursework.

Qualifications:

  • Current coursework in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent

  • Detail oriented and organized

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative thinker with ability to evaluate and anticipate potential problems and determine a solution to implement successfully. 
  • Technically proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus

Supply Chain Material Master Coordinator, Seattle, Washington

The primary purpose of the Material Master Coordinator position is to administer the creation and maintenance of material master records accurately and efficiently.  Master data is a critical asset with high impact upon business performance and decision-making.  This operational role is essential in providing data governance to ensure that high quality material master data is achieved and maintained.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Coordinate master data generation and maintenance.
  • Includes the administration and support of the tools, forms and workflow systems that are employed to handle master data requests.
  • Includes providing support to any requester of master data in the form of training new users on the process, answering queries, and resolving issues.
  • Perform the validation stage in the master data request process to ensure each request conforms fully to business rules and standards.
  • Provide first line of support to the business in investigating and solving master data issues.
  • Remediate any data errors found.
  • Undertake regular data cleansing activities to raise and maintain the quality of each master data record to target levels.
  • Participation in master data related projects as required.
  • Perform project tasks as directed.
  • Facilitate ECN process to ensure that the change notification process is followed and updates are being made in the material master
  • Bill of Material creation as needed for items packaged or assembled in the USA warehouse.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or GED required; College degree preferred

  • SAP experience preferred.

  • Proficient using MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook
  • 3-5 years’ experience with vendor/customer/material master data creation and maintenance preferred.
  • Understanding of sales, pricing and customer service policies and processes is a plus

  • Experience dealing with high volume transactions and performance accountabilities
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, self-motivated, requires little supervision and adaptable to change and a fast paced environment
  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication, problem solving and organizational skills with strong analytical skills.

  • Must have a strong personality to chase down inputs from a large variety of contributors throughout the company.

  • Ability to work overtime as required including after hours and weekends if needed.

  • Must be able to prioritize duties in order to handle time-sensitive data accurately and efficiently.

Ride Marketing Digital & Social Media Coordinator - Ride, Line & Full Tilt, Seattle, Washington

The Digital and Social Media Coordinator for the RIDE, LINE/FT oversees the success of the brands digital marketing efforts. This role is actively participating in and managing a wide variety of online activities and digital projects throughout the year. This position is responsible for syndicating branded photo and video assets. This position regularly deploys digital content across multiple platforms, with the intent of tracking and refining for campaign success purposes – including but not limited to our branded website, social platforms, email marketing, website “takeovers” and other marketing outlets.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Works closely with Web Services department to ensure creative ideas are technically feasible and leverage the latest technologies and best practices

  • Manage and work with creative teams to create templates for web banners, emails, and social

  • Produce and test email marketing sends, including copy writing and asset creation in collaboration with web services

  • Implement and manage all website content

  • Create, implement, and continually improve upon our digital ad buy programs – Google, AdRoll, affiliates, etc.

  • Create and manage unique programs that increase traffic on our branded website and through affiliate marketing

  • Manage all aspects of social media, include calendar creation, continually improving upon your findings

  • Prominently grow the engagement level on our social platforms (views, likes, comments)

  • Control and distribute all digital assets for Sales Reps, Distributors, Dealers and Media

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years creating and managing marketing campaigns, working across various platforms

  • 1+ years experience with online paid advertising

  • Comfortable working with Adobe CC, Microsoft Office Suite & Wordpress

  • Must be able to provide examples of result driven social campaigns

The  K2 Sports eCommerce Manager, is responsible for orchestrating eCommerce for domestic sales and working with international subsidiaries to ensure the eCommerce needs are met. This position will oversee pricing and availability, as well as manage inventory for online promotion and sales.
