US Head of Sales


Position Purpose: 

Develop and manage implementation of annual business plan for K2 brands.  Lead Sales Team and independent sales representatives to achieve sales goals and inventory goals. Foster and maintain strong relationship with US retail community. Develop and disseminate policies that maintain the brand strength and goodwill in the market for all K2 brands.

  • US sales reps for K2 brands
  • US Assistant Sales Manager for K2 Snowboard

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  1. Develop yearly sales objectives

    Develop a coordinated multi-brand shelf strategy

    Create and manage execution of distribution plans

    Create programs and pricing strategy to foster growth in market

    Create and manage expense budgets used to achieve yearly business plans

  2. Reporting

    Responsible for fiscal year forecast and budgeting

    Forecast and track monthly sales goals for all categories

    Control and allocate expenses within budgeted goals

    Forecast sales for National accounts

  3. Lead Sales effort in US

    Provide long term vision and strategy for US distribution

    Drive and communicate strategies to internal and external sales teams

    Lead meetings and communication with key dealers and groups

    Manage sales efforts for all US accounts

  4. Inventory Management

    Manage factory forecast and purchases

    Work with planners to facilitate factory delivery based on order demand

    Work with global markets to maintain healthy global inventory

    Forecast and purchase inventory for DTC sales

  5. Line development

    Work closely with marketing and product teams in development of products for US market

    Execute Market trend analysis to find market opportunities for current categories and potential brand extensions

    Disseminate market feedback to internal development and planning teams


Required Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification:

  1. 5 years In House Sales Management for outdoor company

  2. Strong Industry and account knowledge

  3. Strong management skills

  4. Expert mastery of Excel including data base analysis, Word, Outlook, Power Point, etc.

  5. Strong communication and writing skills

  6. Strong organizational skills

  7. High energy level

  8. Outgoing personality-sales friendly


Desired Qualifications:

4 year college degree preferable: Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing and four years office environment experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge and ability, required to perform the job. Experience with purchasing, forecasting, inventory management, and sales preferred.
