Jr. Web Designer

The role of the Jr. Web Designer is to design front-end solutions that will be implemented on both new and existing brand websites, as well as design marketing emails for all of our brands. This position should have knowledge of both visual and interactive design and information architecture, and a solid understanding of web technologies. This role will collaborate with the web department, marketing, and in-house designers on a variety of assignments, including but not limited to: banners, site redesigns, new site features, infographics, and icons. They will work in tandem with our other web designer or brand designers on some projects and operate as the sole designer on others. This position will also work with the email marketing department to provide design emails for all 9 of our brands.


• Conceptualizing and designing beautiful and effective design solutions that engage the consumer across various platforms (mobile, desktop, email)

• Translating marketing and business needs into dynamic and innovative solutions that provide the best possible user experiences

• Communicating ideas by means of pencil sketches, wireframes and mockups in photoshop or other wireframing tools

• Helping manage our assets library using Adobe’s Scene7 dynamic imaging platform

• Collaborating with web team members under the direction of the Director of Web Services, the Web Project Manager, and the Email Marketing Coordinator

• Prepping designs for handing over to developers (redlines, specs, organized PSD files)

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, UX Design, or related field

• Understanding of the fundamentals of Visual Communication

• Ability to communicate user experience and interface design through sketches, user flows, and wireframes

• Experience designing for mobile and the concept of mobile-first design

• Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in fast-paced environment

• Strong understanding of user behavior as it relates to design

• Portfolio or work samples showcasing Web Design
