1. Work with Design to create technical pack from Design Spec Page for applicable products within their category of responsibility. 2. Create and monitor fit and size specs on products, appropriate for the end-use performance of the garment. 3. Create and maintain Bill of Material for applicable products to include all fabrics, trims, branding, hang tags and/or packaging. Review all protos for adherence to BOM details. Constant, direct communication with (Product Manager) for correct raw materials details, updates, corrections and other technical information to be used by Manufacturers in calculating costs for producing products. 4. Review and measure all protos to ensure adherence to correct size specs and design details for products, from 1st Proto, 2nd Proto, (3rd Proto if required), Photo Sample, Bulk Sales Sample and Top of Production Sample. 5. Point of communication between Product Team and Manufacturers on any and all details, feedback and clear direction with regard to development of production-ready status for all products. 6. Monitoring development calendar to ensure strict adherence to timeline with regard to delivery of all stages of proto development through delivery of Top of Production Samples. 7. Twice-yearly (or as needed) international travel to visit Manufacturers and work with vendor merchandising teams to ensure thorough understanding of desired finished product outlook. 8. Other job responsibilities and duties including but not limited to: design support, participation in creation of seasonal color palettes, trims, prints, and sublimated are files.
Required Qualifications:
1. Ideal candidate has bachelor’s degree plus 3-5 years and working knowledge of the apparel development process. 2. Preferred candidate has experience developing performance apparel products. 3. Experience in Asian development and production is preferred. 4. Experience in trim development is preferred. 5. Participation and/or understanding of the sports of cycling, running, swimming and triathlon is preferred. 6. Must have a working knowledge of development process including timelines, pricing and delivery. 7. Will have an understanding of pattern making, textiles, construction techniques and other elements that comprise apparel construction. 8. A team player with strong organizational skills and ble to handle multiple tasks and manager priorities. 9. Knowledge of Illustrator, Excel and Word.

Zoot Apparel Product Developer II
Responsible for developing run, cycling, swim and triathlon apparel from design phase through production. The Product Developer works directly with the Designer, Product Manager and Manufacturers to create, and maintain technical information with regard to product creation from conception through development to production-ready status for all products. Product Developer’s involvement is essential to cohesive line creation within the team to provide input and suggestions relative to creation of product line.
